Singles "What'd I Say", "Cold, Cold Heart" and "Save the Last Dance For Me" are released.

Jerry Lee's Greatest, the second album by Jerry Lee Lewis on the Sun Records label (SLP 1265) was compiled in 1961 using a mix of songs including "Great Balls of Fire". It was the second of only two albums released during Lewis's time at Sun.
